Westhorpe

Anyone with a connection to the village?

Westhorpe Church is a very interesting church with the added bonus that it is completely unspoilt with paint flaking from the walls and in places an uneven brick floor. This church was being well cared for when I called, a husband and wife team cutting the grass and tending to the interior, wonderful... and to top it all there is a marble slab to Henry de Elmham d1330 and nearby a 14c traceried parclose screen. One of my favourite 'smaller' churches of Suffolk
