Anyone here from the village?

Wenhaston Church has a remarkable tale to tell regarding its doom painting of circa 1480, it measures 17' wide X 8' 6" high why not go along and see it and find out its history!

I first visited St Peter's church on 6th March 1999 from my own and church notes, the following points are noted:

  • Mentioned in the Domesday Survey of 1086
  • Saxon connections
  • Two Norman slit windows in the Nave
  • Two 12c lancet windows in the Chancel
  • 14c Arcade
  • 16c nave and aisle windows
  • A Holy Water stoup adjacent to the Porch Door
  • 14c Tower
  • jacobean Pulpit
  • Local Constable's handcuffs can be found in the vestry
  • 6 Bells the oldest believed to be from Blythburgh Priory
