I have only been to Thelnetham once, I must return one day soon, my trip here occurred her on 11th September 1999 my notes and those of the Church of St Nicholas are shown here:

The core of the church dates from the 14c but an earlier church was recorded in the Domesday Survey of 1086
The South Aisle was built in the time of Edmund Gonville, the founder of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and who was Rector of St Nicholas in 1320
14c Font made from Barnack Stone [Northamptonshire]
On the South Aisle wall is an alabaster/marble monument to Sir Henry Bokenham d1648, Sir Henry was also High Sheriff in 1630
Five bells are to be found in the tower
The Register dates from 1538
