In medieval times Lavenham was one of the most important and wealthiest towns in England. It boasts The Guildhall and the Church among the best to be found anywhere.
A Mecca for tourists from throughout the world, I still find it hard to believe that all the conservation work that has gone into making Lavenham, Suffolks prettiest village, that we still allow traffic through its historic centre, this surely will change one day.
I make a pilgimage here once a year, I wish I could visit more than I do as there is so much to see and explore including over 340 listed buildings in the village.
...and Lavenham Church there is only one better in all of Suffolk and that one isn't a million miles away either
Probably the most photographed Pub/Hotel in Suffolk, for its day this must have been the envy of most other towns not just in Suffolk but probably England, the area it occupies needs to be seen to be believed
