Elm Cottages behind St Mary at the Elms Church in Ipswich is reputedly the oldest inhabited house in Ipswich dating back to the 1470s

As mentioned previously the Victorians could build some interesting large buildings, The Old Custom House in Ipswich Dockland is one of their finer achievements in Suffolk
