I remember many years ago seeing a sign NO FISHING and perched on that sign was a Kingfisher, very poignant I thought since then I have always looked to take that elusive picture! I have never succeeded but last week I saw one of those signs and waited, I knew Kingfishers were in the area as I had seen them darting up and down the river, I even got to know where a pair had been nesting. Still waiting..........not even a glimpse of a KF, still waiting and not a sight you often see unless it is on a telephone wire but this Swallow obliged, so I was half chuffed with that, meanwhile back at the drawing board stage........

A Sand Martin in flight so very difficult to capture a good shot I guess I need a very fast shutter speed and a better camera
