The Sluice at Benacre lifting the river water from The Hundred River over 20' in height to discharge into the North Sea, without the pumping station here and the nearby cliffs/bunds the Hundred River 'valley' would be wide and long at various stages of the tide [eg Blythburgh comes to mind]
