I first visited St Mary's church on 24th April 1999 although I had visited Bradley villages whilst stationed at RAF Stradishall 1965-67, here are my notes and those of the church from my visit

  • Parts of St Mary can be dated to the 12c [eg Chancel]
  • 12c Doorways
  • Stair turreted Tower dates from 14c
  • South Porch dates from 1530 and is regarded as the best brick porch in Suffolk [Scarfe] made by [reputedly] henry Viii's own brickmaker
  • List of rectors date from 1311
  • 14c Font
  • An organ of considerable age
  • Three bells the oldest dates from the early 14c
