Boulge

When standing looking at Boulge Church down the leafy lane, with houses scattered throughout the parish accomodating just 27 people, I wondered how many people from around the world has visited here? Even ventured through the gate without noticing the gate or that it may not have been closed/open in years..........

Within the Church of St Michael Boulge there is a write up of how the bell was moved from doomed and redundant Mickfield St Andrew

Regarding Edward Fitzgerald here are two photos of his grave separate from the other Fitzgeralds who are buried in the nearby mausoleum. The story I was told was that the F'Geralds were extremely wealthy but lost their fortune on 'gambling' on mining operations. Edward did not want to have any association with this venture and so asked, before he died, to be buried in a separate plot.

It is reported at the head of his grave is a cutting of the rose from the grave of Omar Khayyam  in Persia [Iran]
