Dunwich, Heath and Forest

Another lovely area,  much of Dunwich has been washed away over the centuries, this town was once larger than London, it boasted 12 medieval churches. The remains of the priory still exist very close to the crumbling cliffs.

The Dunwich Rose and Snowdrops in the nearby woods are spectacular, the Kings (Henry VIII) Navy was built out of Dunwich Oak

The Ship Inn depicts that event

A short video of the area including the snowdrops in Greyfriars wood https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOEz0nAP9uI&list=UUEPmGUcgjoUWxyWdegxwRmQ&feature=c4-overview
