over the last week or so we have been lucky here in Suffolk to see the International Space Station overhead in the late evening. It was clearly visible roughly heading from the West to the South, travelling at 14000 MPh at a height appx of 2080 KM.

It was a very difficult subject to photograph. I did get some still shots but because of the time factor in the shutter about 3/4 of a second and the distance they are not brilliant but I think woth seeing.

 

In that time it travelled from Mid Atlantic to just over the Italian/ Tunisian coast, passing over Spain / Portugal and France ( slightly different for each pass ) I was dissapointed that the Shuttle has not laucnched as it was going to dock with ISS  which could have made an interesting shot if the circumstances were right

 

I did also get video footage from my still camera  ( Panasonic in this case ). Not particularly good but visable. sorry about the wobble You need to click on the picture to activate it. It appears as a small white dot in the picture but bearing in mind the distance its not bad
