Suffolk, England

This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty [AONB as designated by the UK Government], there are walks galore, on the beach, in the dunes, through the woods bird spotting/watching is probably the best locality in Suffolk.

The area is nice anytime of the year but July/August is the best to see the Heath ablaze with colour from the heather 

For those unfamiliar with RSPB Minsmere this is a view looking south from Dunwich cliffs yesterday, the BBC Springwatch 2016 will soon be aired from here for the last episodes over a three year period

In the distance to the left, in the North Sea, can be found two cooling towers [one shown] and to the right the square building is Sizewell 'A' Nuclear Power Station [now decommissioned], the domed building in front of 'A' is Sizewell 'B' and is generating power like there is no tomorrow, in front of 'B' then 'C' is to be built, the ground work has been prepared years ago, to the right of the Power Stations are those monstrous pylons heading towards London that carries that power generated

But 12 miles out to sea is the worlds largest offshore wind farm called the Little Gabbard the energy produced is  transferred via underwater cable to Sizewell where it meets up with the National Grid 

The water 'levels' or 'scrapes' are man made to enable thousands of birds refuge, to feed and breed and very successfully too, where figures can be seen walking is called The North Wall, I am on the cliffs of Dunwich Heath [National Trust]
