Anyone with a connection to the village?


Withersdale Church sits sandwiched between a main road and a beautiful old farmhouse, this church has stood here for some 850 years it is charming but very small and completely unspoilt.

 I was only to pleased that the church was open and that I didn't have to walk half a mile to get a key, just after I took this photo the heavens opened and I sought my refuge within

I first visited St Mary Magdalene church on 17th April 1999 it is one of the smaller churches of Suffolk but what it lacks in size it makes up big on beauty!

  • The Nave of the Church dates from Norman times
  • The Chancel dates from c1300
  • Dimensions: Total length 51' 3"
  • Width of Nave 14' 10"
  • Width of Chancel 16' 6" [Wider than the Nave!]
