Cretingham is an attractive village four miles South West of Framlingham, the church of St Peter stands on a rise overlooking the Upper Deben Valley. The Nave and Chancel date from the 13c and has rendered outside walls. There is a nice parapet to the tower.

Lady Cornwallis died in 1603 when her vault was opened in 1826 her long hair was still immaculately plaited

There is a nature trail linking Cretingham to Brandeston at OS 156 240359
