The village that leads to the delightful riverside place called Pin Mill

Here is The Foresters Pub

By the small car park is the pub The Venture, the sign is the stern of an actual Thames Barge with the same name

There is a beautiful circular walk from here, along the foreshore from Pin Millturn left walk along the foreshore, through the woods to Woolverstone Marina, up the lane past Woolverstone church across the park returning via the Church of St Andrew which took a direct hit from a Flying Bomb in WWII, the church was rebuilt in 1957

There is another walk through the National Trust woods to Buttermans Bay via Clamp House, I find this walk in the Autumn is ideal, the leaves have fallen, the views across the river are stunning, beware of the hills through the woods, some are quite steep

The Church dedicated to St Andrew was flying a St George's Flag yesterday, this is the church that was destroyed by a German Flying Bomb in WWII and rebuilt by 1957
