A splendid Norman Doorway exists at St Mary's Santon Downham, I wonder how many stories this could tell us over the pst 800 years?

The Priests Doorway at Santon Downham is probably Pre-Norman

Within the Church again is a pointed archway which is hard to determine why it is there, this is situated on the North Wall of the Chancel probably some 700-800 years of age

This old archway once led to a South Chapel, there are medieval paintings on the arch in scrollform
