St Edmund Church, over the centuries sailors have used the tower as maker for their home port, I took this photo several years ago now and although I visit Kessingland regularly I must take a better photo than this one. The nave is thatched

Without the sluice and bund being in place one could imagine this river 'valley' being flooded all the way to Ellough at certain stages of the tide
