Open Day at Martlesham Control tower Museum

There WILL be an open day again this year on the 11th September

A good day out for every one including the kids.

The airfield at Martlesham was the home for many years of the RAF and for a while of the United States Air Force

The open day or fun day as some call it is all about those times

see www.mhas.org.uk

and also from there you can follow the link to our dedicated facebook page

Every aircraft evaluated for the RAF/RN/FAA was checked out here that had floats or a hull, this photo courtesy of Felixstowe Museum shows the three huge hangars, the slipways and the pier with a Titan Crane that could lift loads in/out of the water to 50 tons
