Just off The Market Place is the 18c Old Bank House, the towns first ever bank and quite an imposing building

I recall as a young boy helping my Dad carry a bucket of water from a handpump like this one, where you had to get the pressure up first from the natural spring, turning on a tap today is just so much easier, but I do recall those days of innocence and fun..........
