For some of the residents they have fantastic views overlooking Alton Reservoir, the Lord of the Manor decided he wanted to see a church from Tattingstone Hall, so he had one built in order that he could see this

...all is not what it seems, I guess the chimney above gives the game away as from the back of the 'church' we get this view but from the Hall he saw a Church!

Almost opposite the church are these old council house cottages they are reputed to be the oldest council houses in England but now up for sale c1600
