From the Village Green the Memorial to the dead of all Wars seems to be on sentry duty overlooking the main street

But 40 years earlier than Wat Tyler's revolt the church tower was built in 1341, what a finale to end with one of Englands most adoring scenes

When I was last in Cavendish in July this year, I was aghast at the speed of deterioration of Lady Ryders old property, I don't know what the present status of the land is but I did take this one a few years ago when there was also a cafe and shop on the premises............
